Anne Dijk, religious scientist and theologian, is the founder of the Fahm Institute. On October 2nd, she will give a lecture on the importance and influence of the role of Muslim women in history and to what extent their contributions still affect today’s modern society.
What do we actual know about such female thinkers and mystici? What was their influence on Islamic philosophy and theology? How did they attain, considering cultural factors, freedom of thought and religion? What did the relationship between knowledge and personal experience mean to them and what was their influence on others?
